NEW HOME FOR GRUNDISBURGH CLASSESThe classes formerly held at the old Grundisburgh Village Hall have moved to the Angela Cobbold Hall in Little Bealings. Although there is a lovely new village hall in Grundisburgh, unfortunately the floor is not suitable for tap, so we had to find alternative accommodation. See the Little Bealings page for details of classes there.

We danced to the Chattanoogo Choo Choo, and the Otley class also did a tap charleston. It was a great evening, enjoyed by all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v93kRgygKx8&feature=youtu.be

Fit Villages Scheme |
|
The aim of the Fit Villages scheme is to bring healthy activities - like tap dancing - into YOUR local village hall.
They will help promote the classes, and even subsidise the costs for the first eight weeks. The classes would be for complete beginners who have never tried tap dancing before. Here's more from their own website:
Fit Villages gives communities the chance to run subsidised sport and physical activity programmes in the village, making good use of village facilities such as village halls, community centres and playing fields.
How does it work? After an initial expression of interest from a village, we will meet with you to discuss your needs and the local facilities that you have available. Usually we would then undertake a community consultation with local people to assess demand and understand which activities may be popular. Following the consultation we will organise for an instructor to come and deliver sessions on a weekly basis. The project subsidises the cost to set up sustainable classes that it is hoped will continue for many years to come.
What are the benefits to the village?
If you'd like a tap class in your village hall, get in touch via the contact page - it happened in Otley and Ufford, and we can make it happen for you!
